A lot of people love anime, but can't draw the perfect eye. Anime is a popular japanese animation with a bunch of different series, such as "HunterxHunter", "DragonBallZ", "Polar Bear Cafe" etc. It can also be called "manga"They all carry different stories but all have the same style; anime. You can find these in an app called CrunchyRoll but I'm not here to write an essay, I'm here to show you how to draw your own anime eye!
Here's a couple examples of an anime/manga eye.
Here's a couple examples of an anime/manga eye.
Alright, let's get started! Step 1: Lightly sketch an oval. Step 2: Draw a curved line on the top and bottom (look at photo for reference) you can draw darker now. Step 3: Add eyelashes on the side (optional) Step 4: Draw a semi circle in the center of the circle for the pupil. Step 5: Lightly sketch two circles anywhere to represent the gleam in her eye (where the light touches the eyeball) Step 6: Okay, now for the fun part. Shading! What's that? I can't hear your "yay"s. Oh well, maybe it's not that fun for you normal people. Unless you're not normal... Oh well, let's not get sidetracked. Start at the top, this is where it's going to be darkest, go lighter as you go down and make sure you don't go over the gleams! It won't matter if you go over the pupil as long as you can still see it. You can adjust the shading technique to your style. Step 7: More shading! Yayyy, right? Okay, darken the pupil, you can decide whether or not you want to continue it all the way to the top (press lighter as you go up) or just keep it a circled pupil. I usually shade all the way up but it's your preference. You're all finished! So now you've got your basic anime/manga eye. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Peace out, Daria. |
